Guest ride — a guide for the reception

The reception gives a guest a taxi by issuing a guest ride: an amount the hotel covers, and a link the guest orders with. The guest chooses the ride and the price within that amount.

hotel.komasi.as

  1. Open hotel.komasi.as on the reception machine.
  2. Enter the hotel's organisation number.
  3. Enter the e-mail address or phone number registered for you as a reception user.
  4. Enter the one-time code, which arrives the way you answered.

If you get «unknown contact», your user has not been added to the account yet. The hotel's own administrator adds it, not FairFare.

Register the hotel yourself

No account yet? Press Registrer virksomhet / Sign up on the login page. There is no application and no waiting for FairFare — the account is created while you are still on the form.

  1. Enter the organisation number. The name comes from Enhetsregisteret; you do not type it.
  2. Enter the name and e-mail address of whoever will administer the account.
  3. Choose payment: card deposit, or invoice.
  4. Accept the terms and finish. The one-time code arrives at the address you entered.

A deposit opens the account the moment the payment goes through. Invoice creates the account with a credit limit of 0 until credit has been agreed — you can sign in immediately, but no guest ride can be issued before there is money on the account.

Issue a guest ride

  1. Enter the amount in kroner. It is the ceiling the hotel covers for the ride.
  2. Write a note — a room number or the guest's name, for instance. It appears on the receipt and in the hotel's overview.
  3. Press Lag gjestetur.
  4. Hand the guest the link that appears — Kopier lenken puts it on the clipboard.

The guest opens the link on their own phone, enters pickup and destination and orders like any passenger. The guest needs no account and enters no card.

The amount, and what it is not

The amount is a ceiling, not a price. FairFare does not calculate what a ride should cost — the guest sets the price, and nearby drivers decide whether to take it. If the ride comes out cheaper, the hotel pays what it cost.

Withdrawing, and seeing what was used

The list below the form shows the rides you have issued, with status: Ikke brukt (unused), Brukt (used) or Trukket tilbake (withdrawn).

What the reception cannot do

By design: a reception desk is a shared machine with a queue in front of it. The reception user may issue guest rides against the hotel's balance, and nothing else.
